Recruitment and Selection Process

At Aditya Birla Minerals, we embrace best recruitment practices to ensure consistency and high standard of process. Our recruiters will undertaking the following steps to ensure that your application is reviewed in a fair and equitable manner.

Acknowledging your application

We will send you an automated email confirming the receipt of your application. If your application is incomplete, it may not be considered.

Initial Contact / Screening

Should your application meet the selection criteria, you may be contacted initially for a phone screening interview. This process allows us to learn a little more about you and describe the requirements of the position you have applied for as well as outlining our recruitment and selection process.

Face to Face Interviews

Where you have been successful to progress to the next step in the process, you may be invited to attend a formal, more structured face-to-face interview. At this time, we will discuss details covering your interviewer, the actual process and location, as well as any other specific requirements. In some instances you may be subjected to behavioural interviews, depending on the position you are being considered for.

Testing and Assessments

For all of our roles you will be asked to complete a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen. For some roles you may be asked to participate in a Psychometric evaluation.

Reference Checks

You will need to provide three (3) professional referees who can confirm your details and experience. We suggest you advise these referees prior to providing their details to us and confirm with them that they would be prepared to confirm and comment. Your referees will be current/previous direct Supervisors/Managers and can be team members who have directly worked with you.

Verbal Offer/Formal Offer

Once you have completed all the steps in the process, we will conduct a final review of your candidacy. If this review is successful, you will be presented with an offer of employment. This will be done verbally then followed with a formal letter. This formal letter will require signed confirmation of your acceptance and will be required to be returned to us as soon as possible within our offer of employment timeframe.
