Hindalco Group:

Hindalco Industries Limited is the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and is recognised as an industry leader in aluminium and copper production. Hindalco is one of the world’s largest aluminium rolling companies and is one of the biggest producers of primary aluminium in Asia. The company was established in 1958 and commissioned an aluminium facility in Renukoot, India, in 1962. Later acquisitions and mergers, with Indal, Birla Copper and Aditya Birla Minerals and obtained the Birla Nifty copper mine in WA and the Birla Mt Gordon copper mine in QLD, Australia, expanding copper investment opportunities. The acquisition of Novelis Inc. in 2007 positioned Hindalco as one of the top five aluminium majors worldwide and is the largest vertically integrated aluminium company in India.

Aditya Birla Nuvo:

Aditya Birla Nuvo is a diversified conglomerate and has become the platform for India’s premier business house, the Aditya Birla Group. Aditya Birla Nuvo has a focus on traditional and new age businesses and has a number of companies under its’ balanced portfolio. The diverse business potential includes textiles and insulators, offering a number of services such as filament yarn, carbon black and branded garments. The company has become recognised for its’ ability to maximise long term shareholder gains and profit streams, expanding subsidiaries and joint ventures to include varying services.

Grasim:

Grasim Industries Limited is a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and ranks among India's largest private sector companies. Grasim began as a textiles manufacturer in 1948, but today the business comprises of staple fibre (VSF), cement, chemicals and textiles. VSF and cement is the core of the business, contributing to 90 percent of the billion dollar revenues and operating profits.

The Aditya Birla Group is the world’s largest producer of VSF. Grasim has an aggregate capacity of 333,975 tpa and has a global market share of 12 per cent, due to the association with the Aditya Birla Group.

Ultra Tech

UltraTech Cement Limited is a subsidiary of Grasim and manufacturers and markets Portland cement, blast furnace slag cement, pozzalana cement and ready mix concrete. The company has an annual capacity of 18.2 million tonnes and has five integrated plants, six grinding units and three terminals. Two of the terminals are located in India and the other is located in Sri Lanka. UltraTech is India’s largest exporter of cement clinker, marketing to countries across the Indian Ocean, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Along with its’ parent partner Grasim, UltraTech became one of the largest companies in the cement sector. This acquisition catapulted the Aditya Birla Group to the top of the league in India.

Hindalco Almex Aerospace

Hindalco-Almex Aerospace Limited (HAAL) is a joint venture between Hindalco and Almex USA Incorporated. Hindalco Almex Aerospace manufactures D.C. cast hard aluminium alloys for applications in the aerospace, sporting goods and surface transport industries.

Birla Copper

Hindalco through Birla Copper, set up a Greenfield Copper Smelting and Refining complex, located at Dahej in Bharuch district of Gujarat, India. This is one of the largest single-location copper smelters with integrated port facilities, backed by a captive power plant, and specialises in copper production of world class copper cathodes, continuous cast copper rods and precious metals. The Birla Copper plant is designed to meet any infrastructure requirement and is closely tied to Aditya Birla Minerals.
